For more than a century, we’ve been creating the finest clock systems in the industry. We have a solution for every requirement, from time-tested wired master clocks to innovative Wi-Fi clock systems. Discover business clock systems tailored to your needs.
Stay perfectly in sync with our wired clock systems that are built for accuracy, reliability and durability. With a physical wire connection to each clock, the master clock guarantees precise synchronization to display the same accurate time throughout the facility. Our wired clock systems are carefully manufactured to adapt to your facility’s strict timelines and ensure smooth, consistent operation every time.
We design our wired clocks to perform, day after day, and deliver:
Explore our selection of wired clocks that’s carefully curated to meet your demand for performance and precision:
Go wireless and experience smart, scalable clock systems. Our wireless time solutions can utilize radio frequencies or internet signals to send precise time. Even without a physical connection to the master clock, these clocks unify timekeeping across campuses and facilities and connect to our free cloud service. Each system is tailored for a seamless setup and hassle-free time synchronization. We meticulously design each piece to meet the precision and flexibility you need in modern times.
Without the cables, our wireless clocks provide:
Our TimeCast clocks are the industry’s first that offer Dual-Mode operation of RF Wireless or Wi-Fi connectivity.
National Time is your trusted partner in delivering reliable time display solutions. We bring our centuries of experience into every creation, designing various wired and wireless clock systems perfect for schools and hospitals. Get accurate timing every time with the right clock system.
We engineer the highest possible quality at every price point, and it shows. We have master clock systems in the field that have lasted for over 50 years!
We produce our clock systems at our factories in Michigan, which means you’ll have the support of the people who put them together and the engineers who design them.
Whether you are a school, hospital, airport, industrial or commercial facility, we have a clock system that meets your needs. Over the past century, we’ve seen it all.
We have a long-standing commitment to maintaining compatibility and support for decades-old systems. As your needs change, we’ll be there to help you along the way.
We can do it all — wired clocks, wireless clocks, connections to existing systems or a mix of everything in one building or campus. We’ll help you find the best match for your needs.
Finding the right system is crucial for project success and long-term reliability in schools, hospitals and campuses. To help you prepare project bids and specifications, we’ve gathered answers to some of the most common system clock questions below.
A wired system uses physical cables to provide power and send the time signal, such as a standard two-wire or three-wire connection. These systems are known for their exceptional reliability and low maintenance once installed, as they’re not susceptible to signal interference.
A wireless system uses a radio frequency (RF) or Wi-Fi signal to transmit the correct time to every clock. This method offers greater installation flexibility, making it ideal for existing buildings or areas where running new wires is impractical or cost-prohibitive. Power can be provided using batteries, shared run power wires, or local wall transformers, allowing you to meet the specific needs of your facility. National’s wireless systems also provide two-way communication, allowing you to see the status of every clock through our free cloud service.
Yes. In most cases, you can upgrade your clocks without a complete system overhaul. Many modern clocks are designed to be compatible with legacy wiring from older systems. This construction allows you to make a cost-effective, phased upgrade where you can replace failing clocks with new, more reliable models while leveraging the infrastructure already in place. In addition, TimeCast clocks operating in Wi-Fi mode provide for easy single-clock, stand-alone, fully-synchonized clock replacements in areas of your building where existing clock wiring is not available.
Absolutely. A primary function of a modern master clock is to serve as a central synchronization hub for more than just timekeeping. It can be programmed to control bell schedules, trigger announcements over a public address (PA) system and manage other event-based systems throughout a facility. This integration is essential for the orderly operation of a school day.
Wi-Fi clocks are network devices. The main requirement is adequate Wi-Fi signal strength at each clock’s location. Your IT department will need to provide the network name — or SSID — and password for the clocks to join the network. These clocks then get their time from a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server. By default, they sync to National Time’s free cloud service, which also provides diagnostic information on each clock.
Our TimeCast series of dual-mode Wi-Fi/RF also allows the clocks to function using our clock-to-clock RF Time Flood technology. In this mode, the clocks send their data back to a single base station, which in turn provides NTP-synced time data to the clocks and sends the clock health information to our cloud time service. This mode of operation is ideal for easy setup, and is especially useful if there is no network available, or if IT security restrictions make connecting to the Wi-Fi difficult.
In either case, the same clock hardware can be used in either mode, with easy menu-based options on each clock to switch between the different modes.
Yes. This configuration is known as a hybrid system, and it’s a common and highly effective solution. For example, in a new construction wing, you might install a reliable wired clock system. Later, you can easily expand into older parts of the building using wireless clocks, avoiding the cost and disruption of running new wires. This approach provides both reliability and scalability.
