The NATIONAL TIME CXU Series is a universal ceiling and wall mount speaker or speaker/strobe combination designed for audio and voice communications. The speaker is a high-fidelity speaker, tested to a wide frequency range of 315Hz to 5000Hz, exceeding the UL1480 requirements. The CXU Series offers both dependable evacuation signaling and visual alarms or a combination of both.
The CXU speaker/strobe offers tamperproof field selectable strobe options of 15, 30, 75, 115, 150, and 177 candela. The strobe is synchronized directly from the NATSCO Fire Alarm Panels and NAC Panels. The unit can be mounted in a 4” square x 2-1/8” deep back box, an extension ring is not needed. The CXU Series provides a 25 or 70.7 VRMS speaker with field selectable power taps of 1/8W, 1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W or 4W.
The included mounting plate incorporates the popular Super-Slide® feature that allows the installer to easily test for supervision. The product also features a locking mechanism which secures the product to the bracket without any screws showing. The CXU also features the patented Checkmate® Instant Voltage Verification feature which allows the installer to check the voltage drop draw and match it to the blueprint. Bezels are available in white or red. Bezel text options of Fire, Alert, or plain without text. The CXU devices are listed to ANSI/UL 1480, ANSI/UL 1638.
