Hazard: The pull handle on the fire alarm pull station can break when manually pulled and fail to activate the alarm system.
Remedy: Repair
Consumers should immediately contact National Time & Signal to schedule a free inspection and repair. National Time & Signal is contacting all purchasers of the recalled pull stations directly.

Units: About 3,500
Description: This recall involves National Time & Signal 541S fire alarm pull stations. The red and white rectangular pull stations have “National Time” printed on the bottom. The fire alarm pull stations included in the recall have batch code 0805. The batch code is printed on a sticker inside the pull station. “PULL” is printed on the pull handle.
Incidents/Injuries: Signal Communications has received one report of the pull handle breaking and failing to activate during routine testing. No injuries have been reported.
Sold by: National Time & Signal Corporation, which were installed by electrical contractors, for use in educational and commercial facilities in the Michigan area, from October 2005 through April 2007.
